The Construction Advisory team within Drivers Jonas Deloitte is currently recruiting at APC/Newly Qualified (MRICS) level and the right candidate will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of sectors including Central and Local Government, Health, Residential, Culture and Education.

 

In addition you will advise a broad range of clients and have autonomy to run day to day work for high profile clients, ranging from listed property companies and pension funds to historic estates.

 

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the shaping, procurement and delivery of a variety of construction projects and/or programmes from inception to completion.
  • Build strong and ongoing relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Demonstrate confidence and ability to work in a client- focused team including working from client's offices when required.
  • Work tirelessly to ensure a consistently high standard of service.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Recently professionally qualified (e.g. MRICS, MICE, MAPM, MCIOB, etc), or an RICS APC student.  For unqualified candidates our business is only able to provide support and training for those working towards an MRICS qualification.
  • A minimum of a 2:1 undergraduate degree - ideally a relevant Construction-related degree course in Building Surveying, Construction Project Management or Engineering.  Or a minimum 2.1 degree in any discipline with a relevant construction related second degree.
  • Strong technical and professional knowledge of construction techniques and building pathology.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to deal with large complex projects.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong administrative skills, including report writing.

 

Desirable

  • Any experience of dealing with public sector clients including Central and Local Government, Health, Residential, Culture and Education.
