I am recruiting on behalf of a charity that supports voluntary action in Birmingham and Solihull. They are located just outside of Birmingham City Centre

They are recruiting for an Employment Liaison Worker to join their Talent Match team on a Fixed term contract to 31st December 2018.

Talent Match' is a £100m investment programme of the Big Lottery Fund designed to provide support to young people between the ages of 18 - 24 years of age who are 'Not in Employment, Education or Training' (NEET) and have been so in excess of 12 months.

The Purpose of the Role:
  • To deliver a range of activity that increases the programmes 'into employment and sustainable employment' outcomes
  • To develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with employers across Birmingham and Solihull
  • To develop methods for positively engaging with new employers across Birmingham and Solihull

Some of your Duties and responsibilities will include:
  1. To identify new employment opportunities in Birmingham and Solihull
  1. Develop a range of engagement methods to identify employer's recruitment needs and barriers to employing young adults with multiple and complex needs
  1. Foster positive partnership and collaborative engagement between the Talent Match employment team, participants and the Talent Match Company placement providers/universal employers
  2. To develop innovative ways in which to engage with Employers in Birmingham and Solihull
  1. Liaise with employers to respond effectively to challenges, development needs and any other queries relating to placements or employment

To be considered for this vacancy you must have experience of delivering 'into employment'. In addition:

-Proven experience of implementing a range of delivery that results in employment and sustainable employment outcomes.
-Experience of adapting activities, tools and techniques in order to appeal to a diverse range of audiences.

-Experience of developing and delivering engaging employer events and activities that raise the profile of an organisation/programme.

-Proven track record in building and maintaining successful partnerships across the private, statutory and voluntary sector.

Salary offered: £20,253 to £22,212 per annum
