Do you have extensive knowledge of C#, ASP.Net (MVC) or a similar technology stack? Do you have experience in managing a development delivery team? Then there is a job available for you with an innovative SaaS platform that is widely popular with FT100 companies across the world.

This job is based in Belfast and it comes with a salary of £45k - £55k per annum plus pension, free car parking, dedicated technical training problem and more.

Who is the company?

My client is a locally owned, award-winning business that boasts of a global client based and has impressive growth plans for 2018.

Around six years ago the company developed a cloud platform that enables enterprise-grade, native mobile apps to be created, published and updated by non-technical personnel. The apps are used by businesses to inform, engage, train and enthuse their people. This technology drastically reduces the cost of mobile app development and opens a whole world of opportunities for business no matter what sector they are in.

What does this job involve?

The successful software developer will lead a team that currently consists of five developers. My client is currently looking to add a mobile developer and a front-end developer, and they have plans to further add to the team in the second quarter of this year. They have signed up six major clients since October 2017 which has caused this current recruitment drive.

We are seeking a 'hands-on' lead developer who can play a key role in the delivery of the key product while providing team leadership and mentoring to other product developers. In fact, a big part of the job will be to motivate and inspire other members, identify gaps in their skill set and put the necessary training in place to bridge those gaps.

Since this is a hands-on position you will help develop the SAAS product utilizing the .NET stack and modern web technologies. You will work closely with the COO to define and influence the future technical direction for the evolution of the product and help prioritise work between product development and client support.

Recruitment is going to be key for 018 due to the expanding client base so you will need to take ownership of this.

What are the essential skills?

To apply for this job, you will need at least 5 years commercial experience combined with extensive knowledge of C#, ASP.Net (MVC) or similar tech stack and an understanding of software development best practice. This experience will need to include managing a development delivery team. You will need a proven track record of developing commercial applications using .NET or equivalent experience with a comparable development stack combined with of some knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Entity Framework.

The soft skills needed would include the ability to work under general direction within a clear framework of accountability and the ability to plan, schedule and prioritise work activities. You need to be able to communicate in a non-confrontational manner and have a positive attitude throughout.
