Senior Web Developer

Stickyeyes is one of  leading  online marketing agencies in the UK, with award winning expertise in SEO, PPC, Social Media, PR and Content Provision.  Recently ranked as one of the UK’s fastest growing companies in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 Stickyeyes is now seeking Senior Web Developer to join our growing team of technology specialists. 


        Working on projects for some of the UK's biggest brands your role role will involve:


  • Building online solutions with LAMP
  • Interpreting visual concepts to develop website front-ends, with particular attention paid to semantic HTML and cross-browser support in CSS
  • Interpreting client briefs to deliver technical specifications
  • Assisting in the provision of time-scales for technical implementations in new projects
  • Define server requirements for new client projects
  • Mentoring more junior staff on web development best practice
  • Providing support on general web development projects where required


Candidates for the role will preferably have:


  • A minimum of 3 years commercial experience in producing high quality results with PHP 5.0 (level 4.0 acceptable), Apache, MySQL, XML 
  • Experience in developing accessible XHTML and CSS
  • Excellent front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Experience of using JavaScript libraries such as jQuery
  • Exposure to W3C standards
  • Experience in building cross-browser compatible sites (including IE6)
  • Experience with hosting and cloud hosting
  • Experience in parsing 3rd party feeds (e.g. XML)
  • Exposure to open-source CMS solutions, such as Wordpress
  • Interest and knowledge in emerging technologies
  • A proactive approach to work
  • An ability to work to tight deadlines
