We are looking for a fantastic, enthusiastic, self motivated and confident Operations Assistant with excellent customer service skills to join a team of 4. You will be responsible for handling accounts of export and import consignments, ensuring all activities are undertaken to maximise customer satisfaction and in strict compliance with export and other shipping regulations.
* Preparation of shipping / transport quotations. * Preparation of invoices, packing lists, collection / despatch notes and any other related export documentation required for export despatches. * Booking despatches with hauliers / forwarders / despatch depot / shipping lines. * Entering bookings into our bespoke shipment software. * Managing of specific projects. * Preparation and distribution of documentation. * Expediting shipments and dealing with queries. * Processing of supplier and customer invoices, ensuring costs are correct on the bespoke software. * Answering telephone, expediting orders and shipments, dealing with inter-company and external queries.
* You will have experience in freight forwarding / shipping with an understanding of Incoterms 2010 and customs procedures (import / export). * Enthusiastic and self-motivated with first class communication and interpersonal skills. * Excellent MS office experience and proven customer service experience. * Excellent numeracy skills with a high level of attention to detail. * Strong administration skills. * Ability to build relationships at all levels with suppliers and customers.
Hours: 20 per week (Monday - Friday 13:00 - 17:00)
