Pensions Manager

After several mergers and acquisitions, our client is looking for an accomplished Pensions Manager to assist with a major overhaul of their pension offering and strategy.

This is an exciting yet challenging role that will require someone with an in depth knowledge of pensions and how best to set the organisation up moving forward.

Skills and experience:
  • Substantial experience of pension administration
  • Excellent technical and legislative pensions knowledge
  • Understanding both defined benefit and defined contribution schemes
  • Manage an existing and high performing payroll team
  • Coordinate all activities and procedures relating to the pension schemes offered
  • Lead strategic planning and implementation of agreed pension's strategy
  • Ensure pension schemes comply with statutory requirements and incorporate new legislation
  • Working with external scheme administrators to ensure high quality service
  • Communicating with colleagues, fund administrators, members and trustees as required
  • Drafting member's communications
  • To manage projects working with both internal staff and external advisors

Person characteristics:
  • Pension specific qualifications would be desirable
  • Solution driven and decisive
  • Outstanding internal and external stakeholder and business partnering skills
  • Able to manage projects and ensure they are delivered on time and to budget
