Our client offers a diverse portfolio of engineering support services and products to the upstream and downstream oil and gas markets throughout the world.  Their oil and gas centre in Aberdeen is an established provider of risk based integrity services that support and enhance asset operation and maintenance.

The job:

We are currently looking for a Principal or Senior Structural Engineer, to work as part of our clients dedicated fixed structures team within their Integrity Engineering Services team 

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and maintaining structural integrity management strategies, schemes, inspection workscopes and plans in accordance with industry best practices.
• Conducting offshore structural inspections as required, generating reports and undertaking first pass failure analysis of structural anomalies.
• Liaising and supervising structural inspections personnel and NDE inspectors in the execution of their duties
• Liaising closely with clients and project managers as required to ensure contract deliverables are met

Qualifications and experience:

• A Degree or HND in structural / civil engineering, together with experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.

• Working towards or already a Chartered Engineer.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deal face to face with clients and contractors, etc, are an essential part of this position.
