Design Engineer - Civil Infrastructure

PFA Consulting is an engineering consultancy providing professional expert advice and design services to the development industry for both private and public sector clients. Our infrastructure design engineers and transportation consultants work closely together to provide a seamless service to clients throughout the planning, design and construction process. Due to an increase in demand for our services, PFA Consulting is looking to strengthen its Infrastructure Design Team and appoint a Project Manager at its offices in Swindon. Applicants should be flexible, self-motivated, enthusiastic and be able to demonstrate the following:

Essential

§                Graduate with MEng 2.1, HNC or similar

§                Minimum of 5 years experience in highway and drainage design

§                Experience in designing horizontal and vertical road alignments, adoptable and private drainage

§                Working knowledge of DMRB, design standards, PPS25 and Sewers for Adoption

§                Capable of managing own workload with minimum supervision.

§                Competent in the use of PDS/AutoCAD/Micro Drainage

§                Team player

§                Positive attitude

§                Good communication skills (both written and verbal)

Preferred

§                Preparation of contract documents/bills of quantities.

§                Site experience.

§                Working towards Professional Membership.
