E.ON is a global provider of specialised energy solutions. We are also an important trader in global commodities working hard to make the best deals possible for our worldwide business and ultimately our customers.

Due to the dynamically changing technology of smart metering, we’re looking for an experienced Technical Analyst to join us.

You’ll be part of our IT Operations department, which provides support for our Energy Solutions Retail business applications and encompasses a wide variety of hardware and software technologies. This is an incident based role, where you’ll be responding to issues arising in real time for over 4,000 users. The majority of applications you’ll be dealing with are ones that have been developed and built by our own specialists.

Primarily focused on resolving service interruptions as quickly and as cost effectively as possible, you’ll be working in collaboration with colleagues and outsourced IT partners. This will include delivering root cause fixes and application enhancements through agreed processes, and assessing the impact of incidents – making sure communications and escalations are managed appropriately.

Ensuring continued improvement in service delivery, you’ll get to be involved with game-changing technology, and be valued for the enhancements you make to our existing and future software developments.
