Exciting Room Booking Coordinator role with one of the largest and most reputable Universities in London and the South East

Our client is one of the most prestigious and reputable Universities in London and the South East. Due to an increase in work flow, there is now a need for a dynamic Facilities Room Booking Coordinator to join this already successful team.

As the Facilities Room Booking Coordinator you will be responsible for providing help, support and advice in respect of Room Bookings to support the rooming of timetabled (teaching) activities and to book space for conferences and other events prior to handover to the Conferences & Events team.

The post holder is required to plan, organise and prioritise their work and to use initiative, creativity and sound judgement to resolve regular problems and issues. You will be highly competent with MS Office, particularly MS Excel.

As the Facilities Room Booking Coordinator you will also proactively deal with a wide range of customer enquiries and booking requests, advising upon the availability and suitability of space; identifying suitable alternative spaces; using the room bookings software system (CMIS) process requests and complete the booking process.

You will act as first point of contact for a defined portfolio of buildings/ departments, performing a 'customer relationship manager' role with key stakeholders. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the activities of the departments and their associated rooming requirements; develop and maintain a sound understanding of teaching and learning spaces to ensure an effective customer facing service is delivered.

For this, you will be rewarded with a highly competitive hourly rate and provided with any training and development courses that maybe required.

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role. Ideally within the higher education sector.
