Trainee Residential Property Manager, Bedfordshire, Managing Agent

Cobalt Recruitment has been instructed to supply one of our most reputable clients, a successful and reputable managing agent, with a budding property Manager who will be given an opportunity to learn and develop their skills within the Property management arena offering an efficient and cost effective management service to all customers.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with limited previous experience or is at the start of their career, and has a passion for property and aspires to develop specifically within Residential Property Management. There will be an element of occasional travel involved in the role which may require overnight stays from time to time, this could sometimes arise at short notice.

In order to be considered for interview, it is essential that you meet the following criteria:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Maths and English GCSE qualifications
  • Hold a full, clean and valid UK drivers licence
  • Experience working in a customer facing role
  • Good communication skills including excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent letter writing skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to at least basic level.
  • Strong time management skills
  • Confident and tactful
  • Flexibility. I.e. Ability to attend evening meetings as required
  • Strong decision making skills.

It would be desirable if you also met the following criteria:

  • Affiliate of IRPM
  • Experience within a Property Management position
  • Staff management skills
  • An understanding of the principle aspects of legislation relating to the management of residential property law.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Property management
  • Basic knowledge of building fabric issues
  • Ability to effectively chair meetings
