CWRS invites applications on behalf of their client based in North East England where an excellent opportunity now exists for a Shift Lab Chemist to join their team.

Job Purpose:

To support a 24/7 analytical service to carry out sample testing and routine analysis in a UKAS lab environment to support the Oil and Gas industry.

The Candidate:

·        The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Chemist within the petrochemical/refinery/chemical industry.

·        You will suitable qualified in Analytical Chemistry or similar

·        You have experience in Wet Chemistry techniques, HPLC, GC, IC, FTIR, pH, UV/Vis etc and you will bring previous experience in a similar role.

·        Ideally you will have worked previously in a UK accredited laboratory and/or worked to ISO17025.

Strong graduates with relevant degree qualifications and ideally some industry exposure will also be considered, particularly those whose qualification is directly relevant to the Oil and Gas industry.

This position is permanent, working 12 hour shifts, days and nights on a rotational basis.
