About the Job

Information Governance and Security Manager

Having responsibility for the delivery and maintenance of an Information Governance and Security compliance framework and Information Governance and Security incident management.

Accountabilities & Activities

Essential experience/skills of:


·         Track record of delivering Information Governance and Security Frameworks

·         Incident management

·         Managing ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems

·         Facilitating external audits

·         Audit and assessment experience

·         Public sector and/or NHS security requirements

·         Delivering presentations on Information Governance and Security

·         Relationship and stakeholder management

·         Commercial awareness

·         Experience in report writing, presentations and developing dashboards

·         Risk management

·         Excellent analytical, decision making and problem solving skills.

·         Ability to communicate and influence at a senior level, including at Director level.

·         Ability to analyse current business practices and identify areas for improvement.

·         Preferably relevant regulatory/industry qualifications.


Knowledge of:

·         ISO 27001 standard

·         Knowledge of Information Governance and Security

·         Knowledge of the NHS Information Governance Toolkit


Desired qualifications:

·         CISSP

·         CCP

·         ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or Implementer
