We are looking for a Multi Skilled Shift Engineer to join a reputable company on their site in Skelmersdale.

In this role, you`ll be completing planned maintenance activities and site repairs while simultaneously providing the operations team with engineering support.
The main responsibilities for this role are as follows:
- Complete any necessary administration processes to the expected standard - Comply with company HACCP, Quality Manual Health and Safety Policy and Operation Procedures at all times - Participate in site-wide operational projects eg. installation of new equipment and plant, de-commissioning of machinery or other project based activities - Operate a `clean as you go` policy, ensuring full compliance with food hygiene standards - Have knowledge of departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPI`s) - Carry out any planned maintenance tasks as directed and to the required standards in line with company and industry standards
The candidate we are looking for has the below experience and skills:
- Experience as an engineer within a food manufacturing environment - Minimum of 3 years in an operating engineering environment - Relevant electrical and mechanical qualifications - Experience of a multi-skilled engineering environment, preferably within food industries - Knowledge and hands on experience - Thorough knowledge of process instrumentation and control systems - Ability to troubleshoot and fault find - Excellent written and verbal communication skills familiar with MS Office products - Ability to work effectively in a fast paced multitasking environment -Ability to work individually as well as within a team across all functions on site - Demonstrate a "can do" and "flexible" attitude and approach towards the business requirements - Have an eye for "Continuous Improvement" and have past experience of this - Be able to demonstrate plant improvement and production efficiencies
In return for your skills, you will receive £30,000 per annum and up to 5% bonus, 20 days holiday, life assurance and training courses.
Hours of work will be 4 on, 4 off (12 hours), 2 x day shifts (6am to 6pm) and 1 x night shift (6pm to 6am)
