Production Team Leader

They now have an opportunity within the Production Department for a Shift Team Leader reporting into the Operations Manager. Working on an annualised hours shift rota you will be one of a group of five team leaders with supervisory responsibility for a team of production operators and maintenance craftspeople.
You will work together with the technical department and other site functions to meet and better production targets, particularly plant output, plant operations, and product quality. You will ensure effective and efficient use of the sites resources to maintain high output with regard to volume, quality, cost and reliability of supply to the customer. During the night and weekend shifts you will act as Site Manager, having overall responsibility for operations on the manufacturing site and you will also act as Site Incident Controller in the event of an onsite emergency.

What you need:
* You will ideally hold a degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a supervisory role and a knowledge of plant operations, preferably chemical manufacturing.
* A relevant safety qualification such as NEBOSH.
* A good level of computer literacy and previous experience of SAP would be an advantage.
* A first aid qualification or willingness to train as this is an essential requirement for the role.
