Due to continued growth, we are currently looking to recruit a Regulations Officer to join our Regulations team. The focus of the role is to manage future regulatory change within the industry, analysing its impact, influencing good outcomes for the Group and cascading key information to the business to ensure timely delivery and compliance.

As the Regulations Officer your key responsibilities will include:

* Help embed a culture of compliance across the business
* Lead on Industry responses such as Requests For Information, Consultations, Calls for Evidence etc
* Ensure all future regulatory changes are successfully delivered within deadlines and meet our obligations
* Project manage Requests For Information, ensuring successful delivery within timescales and to suitable quality
* Drive continuous improvement to continually refine our processes, policies and training to ensure compliance
* Proactively identify regulatory risk and develop risk management strategies
* Proactively track and monitor specific areas of regulation and legislation for updates
* Communicate key regulatory information across all levels of the business

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following:

* Ability to identify compliance risks, make recommendations, develop innovative solutions and drive them through to resolution
* Excellent communication/presentation skills and a confident approach as the role will require working with all levels across the business
* Excellent writing skills for preparing industry responses/good use of the English language
* In depth understanding of energy regulation including Supply Licence, Standards of Conduct etc
* Knowledge of Smart metering is desirable
* Project management skills, ability to deliver to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently
* Experience of working with Microsoft Office Applications
