We have an exciting opportunity for several exceptional individuals to grow our Intelligent Automation Practice (IPA) within our Business Process Services Unit (BPS) business globally.

 

Position Description:

 

In order to support our rapidly expanding Intelligent Automation Practice (IPA) within BPS, Cognizant is hiring Vertical Automation Leaders responsible for managing a growing portfolio of IPA accounts and assisting with business development activities. The Vertical Automation Leader will closely partner with Cognizant’s Client Partners and offshore delivery leadership team to foster and strengthen deep client relationships, manage delivery of IPA programs and ensure high levels of client satisfaction and growth within the accounts.

 

The successful candidates will bring their domain experience of the various verticals and geographies we support. The successful candidates will have knowledge of business process outsourcing outcomes, and business consulting leadership skills to help prospective clients develop innovative solutions, improve their operating models and execute on strategic opportunities. This role reports to the AVP of Automation Solutioning & Change Leader.

 

Key responsibilities

 
  • Building & managing customer relationships in multiple accounts with Business & IT stakeholders.
  • Maintain & grow current business; mine for new opportunities.
  • Oversee fulfilment on full lifecycle, agile & staff augmentation projects.
  • P&L responsibility (revenue, margin, pipeline, receivables) and customer satisfaction. Manage statements of work and related commercial and contract terms.
  • Map the customer organization, reach out to new business units and create a sales strategy for new business acquisition.
  • Work with clients to for change management related to IPA projects.
  • Account Planning, Forecasting and budgeting, managing account operations, providing governance to all programs.
  • Delivery oversight for all projects / programs in the accounts portfolio. Implement best practices for development/QA projects (process, code quality, tools, accelerators etc.).
  • Collect data, metrics and prepare QBRs; prepare status reports and dashboards for all development projects in the account.

Skills and Experience

  • Should be able to work closely with the senior level IT and Business stakeholders to understand expected program outcomes and suggesting effective delivery processes to enable these outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and controlling account related activities; use of delegation and effective communication.
  • Managing work and time by finding and taking advantage of available resources to complete work efficiently (leveraging resources). Being able to work with multiple, time critical priorities.
  • Adaptability in a changing environment, by approaching change or newness positively and communicating with others in a positive manner. Being an active participant and acting as a change agent.
  • Excellent communication skills that would help in establishing good rapport with the client and improve Cognizant’s overall relationship with the client.
  • Create customer presentations and provide support in overall opportunity management.
  • Ability to understand client business model and proactively create opportunities to drive value.
  • Customer focused by being responsive, having a sense of urgency and empathy, in an effort to develop the rapport with the customer.
  • Quality oriented by finding a balance between speed and quality of work, based on business realities. Consistently delivering to the best of their abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Innovation by thinking outside the box, challenging ideas and practices constructively and striving to continuously improve the way things are.
  • Strong estimation, budget scoping, cost and quality management skills.
  • Ensure and facilitate seamless workflow & effective communication across different business / IT functions in various locations and with multiple vendors.
  • Identify potential risks, management of issues and escalations.
  • Good at prioritizing time-critical work with understanding of the customer landscape.
