Sales Manager / Sales Team Leader - Education / Online


Sales Manager / Sales Team Leader  (Education / Performing Arts)- £40k to £55k Basic OTE £65k - £80k + Benefits and fantastic training / career development.

 

Do you have a passion for sales and an interest in the arts, theatre or education? Do you also have at least 12 months Sales Management experience and enjoy leading by example?

Our client is the world’s leading arts education resource, already used by over 3 million students in over 1,000 schools, colleges and universities in 65 countries around the world.

Due to significant investment, our client is looking for an energetic and ambitious, Sales Manager / Sales Team Leader to join their vibrant central London-based inside sales team.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, you’ll be assigned a designated territory and be responsible for speaking with the senior leadership team, librarians and teachers within educational institutions across the world to secure new subscriptions.

Initially you will be managing 4 sales executives however the intention will be to grow the sales team to 8 members within 6 – 12 months at which time you will no longer have a personal sales target (just a team target).

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business, with a world-class team of sector and functional specialists, and a successful sales team that is delivering over-target on a monthly basis.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years inside sales / telephone based sales experience with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • 1+ years experience of managing a small sales team whilst continuing to sell and deliver personal sales targets
  • Currently a selling manager and leading by example
  • Sales Hunter mentality – enjoys the challenge of developing new business
  • Self starter and highly motivated
  • Motivator with a flexible management style
  • Experience of selling an online / web based solution is preferred but not essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • An interest in theatre / arts / education would be beneficial
