I am currently working with one of the most recognised gastro pubs in the North West of England, recommended in the good food and Michelin guide, this property continues to go from strength to strength. Along with this prestigious gastro pub site the company also has food offerings in two separate sites, and due to this are looking for a sous chef to manage all aspects of the food offerings alongside the head chef.
The ideal candidate for this role will;
* Have a creative flair for producing fresh British food
* Strong financial understanding of GP%, staffing costs and menu wastage controls
* Excellent manager and motivator of junior chefs
* Patient and willing to mentor and build teams
* Good understanding of community work and strong social awareness
* Given the nature of this role all applicants will also need their own mode of transport
This company have a strong social ethos for supporting young people into work; hence the successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate a history of nurturing and developing young chefs.
This role is open to chefs from all backgrounds a strong history of working in gastro pubs is not essential and sous chefs from high end brands will be considered for the role.
Along with a generous basic salary of up to £26,000 and tip share scheme will be given to the successful applicant.
